In the Genius system it has been designed so that a wet underfloor zone on the app does not have the ability to bring on the boiler (i.e. call on the device that is assigned to whole house), as usually there is a wire running from the underfloor heating manifold back to the boiler or to a zone valve to call on the heat.

This is not a problem to fix in the software, if you do not have such a cable running from your Underfloor Heating back to the boiler.

  • Remove the Dual or Single Channel Receiver from the 'Whole House' (often this is just a channel such as 3/1 or it might be a device).
    • Tap on Home, tap on •••, Whole House Setup, the dustbin next to the device that controls your boiler.
  • From the Home page create a new zone. Call it 'Boiler' and choose the control type to be 'Group'.
    • Tap on Home, tap on •••, Create New Zone, Name: 'Boiler' Type: 'Group'.
  • Go into the newly created Group zone, tap on Zone Setup and then link all of the rooms in your home which you want to bring the boiler on (this will be all of the radiator zones and all of the underfloor zones)
    • Tap on •••, Group Setup, Link to Zone (along the bottom), Select all of the relevant zones to want to be able to call the boiler on.
  • Now your boiler is not just controlled by the radiators zones but it is also controlled by all of the underfloor zones.
