If you see a code on the valve that is not a temperature then there is a problem. The error codes are as follows: E5 - communication error - Restart the valve by removing the batteries and putting them back in after 30 Seconds. The valve screen should display 21 and the E5 message should not return unless the valve is out of range. (See articles about smart plugs). For error codes E1, E2 & E3 Please contact Heat Genius if the valve is under warranty for a replacement.
