If a valve needs to be removed from a radiator it cannot be just unscrewed it needs to be put into 'Mount Mode' first.
This is very important not to damage the valve when you are taking off or replaceing it onto a radiator.
Step-by-step guide
- Press and hold the middle (º) button the the valve until a 'M' appears on the screen
- Press and release the middle button and the valve will 'buzz' and after 10 seconds the 'M' will flash and the valve will feel loose
- Apply firm pressure to the top of the valve and rotate it like a screw anti-clockwise until the valve is removed off the radiator
- The thread is like a medicine bottle and you need to apply pressure to the top of the valve to engage the thread inside the valve to be able to remove it.
- To replace; screw the valve back onto the radiator clockwise
- Press and hold the middle (º) button the the valve until a 'M' stops flashing the the valve will 'buzz'.
- The valve is successfully mounted back on the radiator when the screen shows the target temperature on the screen when you press the middle button and it is stiff (not fixed) if you try and rotate it.
Here is a video to show how.
