- Press the middle button on the device so 'M' is displayed on the screen.
- Press and hold the middle button so 'M' flashes on the screen. The valve will buzz as the motor retracts the plunger to loosen the device on the valve body.
- To remove the Wireless Radiator Valve from the radiator, turn the device so the screen faces away from you.
- Remove the battery cover by press & holding the button on the back and pull up (away from the valve body).
- Press & strongly hold the tab (under the battery cover button) and turn the device anti-clockwise. This will remove the Wireless Radiator Valve from the valve body.
To remount the Wireless Radiator Valve:
- Ensure the 'M' is flashing on the Genius Radiator Valve.
- Screw the Wireless Radiator Valve clockwise on the adapter& valve body.
- Place the battery cover on the Wireless Radiator Valve, by lining up the button on the tab / the clear cover to the device screen.
- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until the valve starts to buzz and a temperature appears on the screen. This takes the valve out of Mount Mode.

Once the problem has been fixed, this can be confirmed by overriding on another room to ensure hot water is flowing through the system. If this radiator remains cold throughout the test, the Wireless Radiator Valve now has control of the radiator once more.
Select a radiator zone (on the same heating circuit if you have multiple plumbing circuits), and override it to 28°C.
- The selected room should heat up as the hot water flows through the plumbing and the Wireless Radiator Valve opens to allow the room to heat up.
- The radiator with the newly remounted Wireless Radiator Valve should stay cold as the Wireless Radiator Valve stops the flow of hot water entering the radiator.
If the radiator continues to heat up incorrectly then it is likely that the valve body is not longer working and a plumber may need to be called to rectify this issue.

The Wireless Radiator Valves go through a learning period in the first couple weeks after installation/if they have been removed and re-added to the radiator. This is where they calibrate to the TRV body to learn how far the pin moves. It opens a little every minute until it senses a change in temperature of the pin, and it stores this position for next time. This process can take up to 45 minutes, so it can take up to 45 minutes for room to begin to warm up during the couple weeks.
