Step 1
The OpenTherm board in the Genius Hub is working, but it is not receiving any communication from the OpenTherm boiler. The most likely places which have the fault are:
1. The cable between the Genius Hub and the boiler
This is the white cable which goes from the back of the Genius Hub to the circuitboard in the boiler. There is a plug and jack approximately 50cm from the Genius Hub. This is the most likely place, if the cable has been caught.
2. The boiler is not powered on or working correctly
Check the boiler to ensure it is powered on and working correctly (not showing any error codes). If there are any errors, see the boiler's manual for how to fix these.
3. The cable connections in the Genius Hub or the boiler
The cable is connected to the Genius Hub and the Opentherm boiler. Each side of the cable has 2 wires which will be connected to the devices. It does not matter which way around the wires are connected. These should be checked at either end.
If you are not confident in checking these connections, we recommend getting an engineer to ensure that the connection is attached correctly.
