The common reasons for a smart plug to switch on unexpectedly are:
- The smart plug is in a zone that is in 'Timer Mode' or a Footprint Room zone that is in 'Footprint Mode' and occupancy has been detected, and so the room is requesting heat. This will turn the smart plug on as they are often used for electric heating and so switched on when the heating is switched on in a heating room. The smart plug will then remain on until the inactive time has been satisfiedzone stops calling for heat.
The smart plug has been assigned/linked to a heating room (or multiple rooms ) and the heating room is calling for heat, switching the smart plug on. Assigning a smart plug to multiple rooms can also lead to the smart plug repeatedly switching on and off as it receives conflicting commands.

If no one was occupying the room at the time of the smart plug switching on, check that your sensitivity setting for the room sensor isn't set too high. We recommend that the sensitivity is set to 70% as much higher (such as 90%) than this can cause false triggers to be detected. |
Solution:
- Remove the smart plug from the zone that it is assigned to or check the schedule of the zone that it is assigned to.
- Every smart plug should have a number on the side of it which corresponds to the number on the 'Devices' page on the app. The devices page shows you every device on your system and if it is assigned to a zone or not. The devices page is found under: Main Menu, Settings, Devices.
