To see the status of the devices on your system, there is a summary page which provides more detailed information along with some options for fixing problems.

To reach the Devices page:

- Device ID: Each device is assigned a unique number so it can be identified on the system.
- Device Summary: The type of the device is listed next, such as Radiator Valve or Room Sensor, along with the room is it assigned to.
- Time since last communication: All devices communicate wirelessly with the system, with battery powered devices and mains powered devices communicating differently.
A battery powered device is asleep most of the time to preserve the battery. These wake up at regular intervals to check for any queued messages. The wake-up intervals can be found here.
A mains powered devices will receive messages as soon as they are queued, but do not communicate regularly. Therefore if no action is required for a mains-powered device, this time since last communication can be many hours.

Sorting the list

Many times when viewing the Devices page you will have a specific task in mind, such as do any devices have low batteries or wanting to check all of one device type (e.g. Room Sensor). You can easily re-order the list, by clicking on the the re-order icon at the top-right of the page. This will display a list of the options:

- ID: The default sorting option, with devices sorted by the ID number found on the left hand side of each row
- Location: The list will be sorted by the zones each device is assigned to. Devices which have not been assigned to a zone will appear at the top of the list.
- Type: Devices will be grouped by type, so all of the Radiator Valves, Room Sensors etc. will be displayed together.
- Battery: Battery powered devices will the lowest battery level will be displayed at the top of the list with mains-powered devices at the bottom of the list.
- Last Communication: The devices which the Genius Hub has not communicated with for the longest will be at the top of the list. For more information on communication times, please see this article.
- Air Temperature: Devices which measure the temperature will be at the top of the page with the top of the list showing the devices measuring the lowest temperatures.

- Device Version: This is the model number of the device, and can be used to troubleshooting if there is a problem with the device.
- Setpoint: This is the temperature a device is controlling to, e.g. what temperature the Genius Wireless Radiator Valve will control the zone to.
- Air Temperature: The current measured temperature detected by the device.
- Relay Switch: This shows whether the switch in the device, such as whether the Smart Plug has the socket on the front active or if the Single Channel Receiver is calling for heat.
- Valve Hidden Offset: This allows you to adjust the temperature that the Genius Wireless Radiator Valve controls to. For more information, see the section below.

The first value is current value reported by the device, and the second value is the pending value to be sent by the Genius Hub. Most of the time, both of these values will be the same as the device has communicated with the Genus Hub and gotten the temperature to control to, in these cases only one value will be shown. If the setpoint has recently changed (e.g. the start of a heating period). then the first value will read the old setpoint and the second value will show the new value.Info When controlling the hot press (hot water tank) in Irish systems, the Wireless Valves may show FO (fully open) or FC (fully closed) both on the Devices page and on the screen of the device. This is to show that the valves are no longer controlling to the temperature measured by the device and instead being controlled solely by the Genius Hub. The buttons on the device will be disabled whilst the Wireless Valve is in this mode.

Wireless Radiator Valve
Valve Hidden Offset
In zones with multiple Radiator Valves or a Radiator Valve and a Room Sensor it is possible that both devices may not read the same temperature. This occurs as the Room Sensor is placed in a sensible location (e.g. chest height on an internal wall) whereas the Radiator Valve is likely to be near the floor, under a window or behind some furniture. If the Radiator Valve is misreading the temperature then it can be adjusted using this hidden offset.

- Find the number of the Radiator Valve from the relevant Zone Setup.
- From the Home Screen, click on the Main Menu.
- Click on Settings, then Devices.
- Select the Radiator Valve from the list.
- If the Radiator Valve needs to control to a higher temperature to match the temperature measured by the Room Sensor set a positive Valve Offset. If the Radiator Valve needs to control to a lower temperature, set a negative Valve Offset.

Valve Responsiveness
If a Genius Wireless Radiator Valve is being installed on a radiator which is over-sized for the room, it can cause the radiator to heat up too quickly for accurate control. If this is the case, the Genius Wireless Radiator Valve can be 'slowed down' so the heating does not overshoot the set temperature.
To adjust the Valve Respnsiveness Responsiveness for a Radiator Valve:
- Find the number of the Radiator Valve from the relevant Zone Setup.
- From the Home Screen, click on the Main Menu.
- Click on Settings, then Devices.
- Select the Radiator Valve from the list.
- The default value is '1' which is the fastest response. To slow down the heating of the radiator, move the slider to the right for a higher value. It is recommended to move the slider by a couple steps at a time and monitor the results for the next few days.
Valve Orientation
With our new Wireless Radiator Valves (DA-WRV-E) the orientation of them is very important. For the previous valves (DA-WRV-C) this was not the case. In the UK the ‘standard’ and most common orientation of valves is vertically and at the bottom of the radiator. In this orientation, the part you turn to manually adjust the temperature in the room is at the top of the valve and the button with a dot on it (used to mount the Wireless Radiator valve) is below the screen that displays the target temperature.
If your Wireless Radiator Valve is installed horizontally (or upside down under a radiator) it will underread the temperature in the room because it will be compensating for the heat coming from the pipework and the radiators when it should not be, and this causes the room to potentially overheat.
How to correct the orientation of the Wireless Radiator Valve:
- Go to the 'Menu' then 'Settings'.
- Select 'Devices'.
- Select the Wireless Radiator Valve in the room you want to adjust.
- Toggle the ‘Valve orientation’ setting to 'Horizontal'.
Bypass Valve Learning
The 'Bypass Valve Learning' setting instructs the Wireless Radiator Valve (DA-WRV-E) to treat changes from the app as if they were manual overrides.
This should increase valve responsiveness, especially when a change to the set temperature is first made. The control of the temperature after the initial heat up will be just as accurate but the valve will appear to respond faster to changes in the setpoint in the room.
To enable 'Bypass Valve Learning':
- From the Home screen, go to the Main Menu.
- Select 'Settings', then 'Devices'.
- Scroll to the Wireless Radiator Valve which is slow to heat the radiator and tap on that device.
- In the expanded options (grey background), there is a setting 'Bypass Valve Learning'. This is disabled by default. Enable this setting by tapping on the toggle (it will turn green).
From this point onwards, all commands from the app will be treated as manual overrides, and not use the in-built algorithm or learning for that Wireless Radiator Valve during the heat-up up but it will maintain a stable temperature in the room after the initial heat up.
